I've recently performed a clean install of XP on a friend's Dell computer
that formerly ran Me and now she has a problem that's baffling. Some
download sites are blocked on both IE and Netscape. She gets a white page
that says "This object has been blocked". No icons, nothing else on page.
Other sites are fine, Windows Update for example. This is with Zone Alarm on
or off. I had her drop Control Panel Internet Security settings to low, no
difference. Norton AV scan comes up clean. It has to be some sort of Windows
Security setting I would think. This is something I've never heard of
before. Downloads either work or they don't I thought. Any ideas? Thanks in
