I just upgraded my computer with a Gigabyte GA-K8NS-939 motherboard and an
Athlon64 3000+. I also installed a DVD burner and kept my old CD burner. When
the system boots the bios sees all my drives but when Windows XP sp2 starts
it only lists the DVD burner and not the CD burner. I am at a loss as to why
this would happen . Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated

have you checked the jumpers, master/slave?

You did not read the original post correctly. It was stated that the BIOS
was seeing both the DVD and CD burner. This indicates that the jumpers
(master/slave or cable select) are correctly set.

I just upgraded to a Gigabyte K8NS Pro and not only does windows not see
either of my 2 burners (I swapped them out), but it won't see my DVD drive
either.

All drivers have been updated, all jumpers set correctly & I've even
uninstalled the nvidia IDE drivers and gone to stock MS drivers.... some help
before I get stuck re-installing...
