Okay, new problem. I got the hard drive recognized by putting it on an ATA
100 channel, installing Windows XP and the Promise 376/378 driver. Now, it
has an exlaimation point on it in Device Manager and I thought it was
because it said to reboot. Nope, same thing. I tried to move the drive to
the ATA133 channel and BSOD. So, I downloaded the latest driver from MSI's
site and same problem. Anyone else have this problem? Got a fix?

Search through the bios and see if you can force UDMA 2 mode or even
lower (PIO modes) . I know this sounds desparate but it might work.
UDMA 2 isnt so bad after all.
Also try changing the ATA100/133 cables. They are very hard not
flexible and sometimes get damaged.

The issue is that the RAID drivers have not installed properly.

Delete the con in device manager and put the drivers in a file on C: drive.

restart the machine and when it says found new device, point it towards the
driver file and see if that works. Make sure you have all the files from the
zip file as it unzips. Make sure you have scrolled all the way through the
choices so you get the correct one in the list it will give you.
