I have a set of videos that were programed to work with
Quicktime. I downloaded Quicktime and get a message that
tells me Windows cannot open this file type when I try to
play the video. When I downloaded Quicktime, I told it
to associate with Window file types and also chose XP.
Can anyone help?

Windows will not play this format, mov files are an Apple
product. Look for file converters to convert it to a
better format that Windows can play. I use WINmpg Video
Convert to "fix" the mov files.

Uninstall Quicktime from "Add Remove Programs", reboot,
and go to "Program Files" and delete the Quicktime folder
that still exists.

If your file association situation is not yet remedied,
right click a video file, choose "open with", and then
select "Windows Media Player". This should work for you.
