Windows XP Display-Properties

I installed a Nvidia GForce MX4000 about 9 months ago with no problems I
reformatted HD 3 weeks ago after a hacker ID theft suddenly 2 days ago I
cannot rt. click and view desktop properties.go to settings control panel and
cannot open display adapter. I can use the nview desktop manager only . when
I disable this I have no option to view desktop properties at all such as
thems screensave background image etc. Anyone have this happen to them and
more important what caused this and how do I correct it. thanks

Disable all of the Nvidia crap for context menus to start with.

Right-click is slow or weird behavior caused by context menu handlers
