I was looking to create a Windows XP CD and found a place on the
internet that told me to copy the I386 folder onto a CD and that would
make the CD essentially a Windows XP CD.
Is this true? If not, what can I do to make a Windows XP disk based
solely on what is on my hard drive?
My understanding is that I own a licensed copy of Windows XP with the
purchase of my computer (which has XP preloaded), but no restore disk
is provided (it is a Compaq and you have to create the restore disks
yourself). But, owning a licensed copy of XP means that if I can
create an XP disk, then it should be perfectly legal.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Brian
