Why does a Program Files window open over the OEM Desktop
window with all the icons? How can this be fixed?

After the computer boots and the OEM Desktop containing
all the icons on it is supposed to be displayed, instead,
a Program Files windows comes up.

If anyone can explain how to fix this problem, I would
appreciate the help. Thank you.

This is typically caused by some program set to launch at startup not being
enclosed in quotes. Go to start - run - msconfig, and on the startup tab it
will show you everything set to launch at startup. Anything not in quotes
should be changed to be enclosed in quotes (the locations are given - you
may have to open regedit in order to change registry entires for startup -
*be careful* using this tool).
