If what you mean is 'how do I record CDs with XP's own burning utility?'
then do this: Open My Computer and right-click on the icon for your CD-R/RW.
Select Properties and then the Recording tab. Place a checkmark in 'Enable
CD recording on this drive' and see that the other options on the tab are
set the way you like.
Now open the Help and Support Center and search for 'CD recording' (without
the quotes.) You can read step-by-step instructions on what to do.
Some advice: If you're certain that you don't want to use your Roxio
software, you should uninstall it before starting to use Windows XP to
record CDs. Depending on which program and version you have, the presence of
third party burning software can interfere with XP's ability to record CDs.
If I were you, I would try to find out why you cannot record CDs with your
Roxio program. Perhaps Roxio's software has nothing to do with your problem.
Or perhaps you aren't using the software correctly.
