I have Windows XP Home Edition (French version) on a Dell 4550, using
NTFS.
On the HD there are literally dozens of corrupted filenames in which one
character shows up as a square in the Explorer window.
Trying to open one of these files results in an "Unable to open File"
error message.
An attempt to delete the file gives "Impossible to read from the source
file or disk".
If I want to delete a folder containing one or more such files, the
error message is "Incorrect syntax of filename, folder, or volume".
Can anyone offer advice, please?
