I have been told that Windows XP or possibly Microsoft
Office XP will not be compatible with my Microsoft Outlook
& my Novell Network. I have been unable to find any
information on that. Any feedback would be appreciated.

We use Windows XP workstations and MS Office XP installed on them, and
they login to our NetWare network just fine. Be sure you install the
NetWare Client on the workstations - don't use Microsoft's Client For
NetWare.

I don't know about Outlook, but I would be VERY surprised if that didn't
work.

You were told wrong about the Novell part. XP gets along fine with
Novell, you just need to install the Novell Client 4.83. I'd stay away
from 4.83 sp2, though, a lot of people have problems with that. We use
4.83 sp1 with no porblems at all. There is soon to be a client version
4.9 out. That's supposed to have fixed the problems with 4.83sp2.

I can't tell you anything about your Novell network, but
Microsoft Office works fine under Windows XP. I run Outlook 2000
here. And if you also buy Microsoft Office XP, it will come with
a new version of Outlook, which you can use to replace your old
one (although as I said, the old one could still be used).
