Using the standard XP commands to write files to CD, I
get the following:

files copied to E: temporary directory
files written sucessfully to CD on E drive
"delete temporary files" "yes"
then error, and files pointers still left in E directory.

I have tried Properties > clear read-only > apply > ok
but XP refuses to clear the Read-only status. I have
tried "& all subsidary folders" but that will not work.

I even tried to drag the pointers to McAffee file
shreder, but it can't get rid of the temporary files.

XP says files still in use by another program and will
not delete.

How do I get rid of these temporary files? Any
suggestions?
