I have just upgraded from Windows ME to Windows XP. I
noticed my boot time went from around 30 seconds to around
three minutes! Does anybody know of a way to speed this
up? I have no programs starting in the background! Any
help would be appreciated.

Hi Kyle,

Download Microsoft Bootvis tool and trackdown the driver delays which cause
slow Windows startup:
http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/utils/BootVis.exe
Open Bootvis > Trace > Optimize System.

Also, disable unwanted services/startup applications from startup
(MSConfig.exe tool)
