Windows XP and Software Updates

Hi

I have downloaded updates for several games and other
programs but they do not seem to have "taken". Is there
any way to check my files to make sure that all of the
files are up to date?

You can check your Windows Update History at the Windows update site. Do
a system file check.
Start>Run type: sfc /scannow Have the WinXP cd in the drive.
