Windows XP and Samsung 120GB Harddisk ?

hi.

i have installed Samsung HD and it is visible in BIOS but
not in XP.

what should i do that i could see it in XP too ?

Right click on My Computer and select Manage. On the following screen,
select Disk Management. The drive should now appear on the right hand side
of the screen from where you can partition it, format it and assign a drive
letter or letters.

Try running "diskmgmt.msc" as administrator and make sure the drive is partitioned, formatted, and mounted.
 
thanks Cari, but there is only harddisk which is in C:
drive.
New harddisk is not visible there. what could be wrong ?

And you're sure the jumpers are correct at the back of the drive? Is it on
the same 80 wire ribbon cable as the master drive on on a different IDE
controller?

hi.

yes i think so. i have installed this harddisk into my
friend's computer and there it works well. when i
installed it into my computer it didn't work. only BIOS
is finding it not XP.
