Windows XP and printing dos programs

I have a Unilink dos program that I use. On reports that
take a long time to generate the print doesn't condense as
it is suppose to. I have changed timeout settings among
other things and nothing seems to correct my problem.
Some of the reports print but reports that take 2 plus
minutes to generate print incorrectly.

Any ideas?

Try to print to a file first, then send the whole file to the printer.
