Windows XP and Office

I can't type in any office application or Outlook. I press the keys, the cursor doesn''t move and nothing appears on the screen. Pretty sure it is not a hardware problem, since I can type fine in Internet situations, MSN and here. In Outlook letters will appear but only after I hold down the key and then I get a multiple string aaaaaa. This just happened when I turned my computer on yesterday. Have re-booted multiple times, no luck. Can anyone help!

You don't mention your version of Office or amount of RAM. It might be
that you have too many programs open at once; try to close down some
when this happens.

If it continues happening, go to Control Panel > Add/ Remove programs,
click on 'Microsoft Office ', 'change' and choose
'Detect and repair errors in the Office installation.'

If you still have the same problems, go to the same place and choose
'Reinstall.'
