Window's XP Firewall ( I hear sp2 will enabled this ), is their a Active Directory Policy for Disabling the Firewall for Window's XP workstation's
Window's XP System Restore, is their a Active Directory Policy for Disabling System Restore for Window's XP workstation's ?
 
Hello Joe. We are in RC of SP2 for Windows XP. what I can see the follow
registry based policy settings are updated for SP2.

Leave Windows Installer and Group Policy Software Installation Data
Restrict Internet communication
Turn off the Publish to Web task for files and folders.
Turn off Help and Support Center Did you know? content
Turn off Help and Support Center Microsoft Knowledge Base search
Turn off Internet Connection Wizard if URL connection is referring to
Microsoft.com
Turn off Event Viewer Events.asp links
Turn off Automatic Root Certificates Update
Turn off Registration if URL connection is referring to Microsoft.com
Turn off Search Companion content file updates
Events.asp URL
Events.asp program
Events.asp program command line parameters
Restrict Internet communication
Turn off the Publish to Web task for files and folders.


Under Computer Configuration:
Administrative Templates\System\System Restore\Turn off System Restore
Turn off System Restore

Prohibit use of ICF on your DNS domain at Computer Configuration /
Administrative Templates / Network / Network Connections.
