Windows wont load

Hi
My Windows XP (SP2) system wont load.
I get the blue screen and the message
"Hive file \systemroot\system32\config\system is corrupt"
Safe mode is the same.
Anyone got any tips?

You've given the OP useless advice. S/he can't get into Windows, so
doing a System Restore won't be possible. I'm not sure what you mean by
"registry recovery programs", but using third-party software to restore
the Windows Registry instead of the accepted Microsoft process would be
foolish.
