Hello, I've recently been having a problem with my Acer laptop running
Windows Vista Home Premium. Yesterday, when I first started it, it originally
failed and, after running start-up repair, the problem was fixed and it
worked fine. Today, it failed to start again, so I ran start-up repair,
assuming it would fix the problem. This time, it said something along the
lines of: "Problem cannot be fixed by Start-up Repair". I then attempted to
do a full restore, which was completely unsuccessful, failing to work at all.
I am now currently running a disk check, and already I have received the
message that over 10 files were unable to read, and the check is only 10%
finished. I'd appreciate any help in getting this fixed.

Thanks,

James

It certainly sounds like hardware failure. I'll give you the usual hardware
troubleshooting steps, but it would probably be better for you to call Acer
tech support for repair/replacement under your warranty.
