Hi All,
I have a computer that the kids use, which is running Windows XP
(home). It was switched of correctly the other night, but it will not
start up today. I switch it on and i get the windows splash screen,
then the list of things that are loading. I then get the black screen
asking me do i want to load in safe mode, normal, etc, if i try any of
these options it just does the same again. Can anyone make any
suggestions. Please.

Hi,
Thanks for your help. This is exactly what is happening now. I have
set the bios to boot from only the CD. It boots from the cd and says
loading windows, i see it loading all sorts of system files. Then the
blue screen appears with the "registry error stop 0x00000051
(0x00000003, 0x00000003, 0x00000000, 0xE1102000" and it will not go any
further.Any advice please. I will make a boot disk from my computer and
try to get into the other computer using it.
