I am very disappointed with Windows Vista. You changed things that didn't
need changing, many things I can't find anymore in Word. I can't spell check
my email messages, I get a stop error message about every other day which
requires me to manually turn off my computer and then restart it in safe
mode, just to restart it again. IT IS A REAL PAIN!!!!!
Can someone please help me?!!!

Windows Mail? TOOLS menu|SPELLING (F7)

WORD should work just as it did before. It is not part of Vista, but a
separate application that can be purchased at retail.

STOP errors are usually the result of hardware or driver
incompatibilities. Not all software that ran well in earlier operating
systems will do so in Vista, though it may be possible to run those
programs in "compatibility" mode.

See HELP & SUPPORT for a compatibility wizard, and other information.
EVENT VIEWER may help in spotting the problem.

Ken,

If you are experiencing problems with your spell check in Windows Mail, try
this:

1. In Windows Mail, go to Tools, click Options, click on the Spelling tab.
(English should be selected as your Language.)
2. Click on "English" so that it becomes highlighted in the dropdown list.
3. Click Apply, and then click OK.

This should fix your spell check problem in Windows Mail.

Thanks,
Tatsuo.
