Why I got this Vista junk I don't know

Anyway biggest problem is I can't open attachments received on emal.
I have loaded microsoft word etc but when I try open a word doc I get taken
to notepad.
I have tried in default programs to change the doc. to word but with no luck

Any advice
 
Safe the document to your desktop
right click it ....properties.....
where it says "opens with"..click change
follow the prompts to MS Word........and be sure to click "always use this
etc etc

Thanks Pete, however, my only choice is Wordicon when I get to this stage and
then it still does not open, any advice
 
Vista, and in fact ALL Microsoft operating systems have NEVER been supplied
by Microsoft with Microsoft Office or any element of the same.. if you have
bought a computer in the past that had MS Office installed, it is because
the vendor put it there..

You will need to either purchase and install MS Word or Office, OR download
and install the free Open Office..
