Its a Delll Inspiron. WIndows update installed an update about 3 days
ago, and now we can't long onto to Windows, it says an unauthorized
change has been made to the licensing. After entering a password, you
get message that "this copy of Windows is not genuine". If you opt to
try to resolve this on-line, this does not work, and it still ends up
going back to the logon screen. Thanks Bill Gates for another
bug-filled product!

You do realize that Windows Update is a USER configurable application and
like XP before not everything that the OS says needs updating should be
updated thru the MS update site..............only MS stuff.
How long is your warranty on that Dell ...??? maybe its time to use it

http://forums.microsoft.com/Genuine/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2498905&SiteID=25

"File Mismatch: C:\Windows\system32\rpcrt4.dll[6.0.6000.16525]"

"Now look for and select KB933729
Click ‘Uninstall’
Reboot"

I'm surprised that forum isn't flooded with "unhappy campers".
