Is there another way to get to the updates rather than through the update
module on the computer? I am unable to connect through this and am unable
to download updates.

MS usually provides these later on on a cd that you can buy from them.
They know you won't want to buy a cd with 10 meg of data, so usually
let a few build up before offerring it.

Depends on what they are. The latest four that I got that came on out 1/28
each were associated with KB articles. On them were links to the individual
downloads, so they are accessible without WU. You could use the Windows
Update Catalog as well.

Search the MS KB for Vista related articles that were put on on 1/28 to find
the recent ones.

These are the last four updates I had:

The computer may respond very slowly as the Phishing Filter evaluates Web
page contents in Internet Explorer 7
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928089/en-us

The Windows Vista Application Compatibility Update
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929427/en-us

An update is available for Windows Error Reporting in Windows Vista to make
sure that problem reports are sent only after you have granted permission
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/930857/en-us

You may be prompted to activate Windows Vista on a computer on which Windows
Vista activation was not previously required

Thanks Rock.
