Windows Vista Ultimate Startup Issues

I am having problems with my recent (yesterday) upgrade to Windows Vista
Ultimate. I am able to boot into safe mode but I am not able to boot into the
normal Widows Vista. The normal status bar come up and it starts scrolling
and then I get past that and the screen flickers a few times and the mouse
appears. Then it does nothing from there. It just sits there. I am
sporatically able to boot into normal Windows for some reason but I usually
cannot. I booted from the install disk and went through the install repair on
the disk. I was not able to boot immediately after this. It restarted the
computer itself and it went back to the same problem. I turned it off and
turned it back on and it magically worked for some reason. For a while though
it seemed as if it was going to have the same problem. I'd love help with
this issue.

You can also call PSS (microsoft) and get help with your new OS. Look on the
packaging.

Like the old "Ivory" soap commercial (99.9% pure) - if you can boot in safe
mode and not normal mode - it is 99.9% that as driver is involved.

Thanks. I'll try it out now. I forgot to say that I am in Normal Windows now
becuase I got it one of the sporatic times to boot.

I still cannot get it working. I updated the driver from Dell's website and
now I am trying a different dirver from Softpedia. Hopefully that works. I
would like some more help on this issue.

I called MCSFT support and it turned out that the startup was just taking a
really long time and that something that was booting up was just taking
forever to startup. So now im only starting nesecary items.
