I would like to know how to configure my computer so it can be used for a
left-handed person i.e. the mouse situated on the opposite side where the
normal right-click becomes the left click etc.

Any replies would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Mark24,

The following instructions are for a Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical, but the
basic principles can be adapted to other mice. Click 'Start', 'Control
Panel', 'Hardware and Sound', 'Mouse'. On the 'Mouse Properties' page, select
'Buttons'. Under the button options, select the required option for each
button. In your case, this means setting the 'Left button' as 'Right-click'
and 'Right button' as 'Click'. Note that the changes will only take place
when you click on 'Apply' or 'OK'. To reverse this, simply follow the
instructions again, but click on 'Restore Defaults' and then click on 'OK'.
Finally, close all windows that you opened for this procedure.

Open the Control Panel, then select Mouse. There is a check box to reverse
the right and left mouse buttons. This selection should be available no
matter what type of mouse, touchpad, etc. you have as long as it has at
least two buttons.
