I have a Turion 64bit x2 notebook (Acer) with windows xp professional. The
system does not accept windows vista 64bit with the following error message:
"setup.exe is not a valid Win32 application".
No clue how to solve this and I should add that the Microsoft Support
service is as clueless as I am. No support for windows vista rc1 by
microsoft... sigh

Anyone out there who know show to solve this issue ?

Thanks a lot..!!!!!

You must install it by booting from the DVD. You cannot install a 64-bit OS
in a 32-bit OS environment.

You will probably find the system is actually a 32 bit system you will need
the x32 version of vista (It will download under this title from the site
vista_5600.16384.060829-2230_x86fre_client-lr1cfre_en_dvd) if your system is
a 64 bit system then you have a 32 bit version of vista and not the x64,
which ever version of Vista you do have you need the other one.
