Every time I try and and access my video files in windows media
center, the programme crashes. It says it has a problem and has to
close but does not explain what the problem is or why it is crashing.
Is it a driver issue or is it a codec issue? I would be grateful if
anyone has any solutions.

I had serious problems with my media player. It would not recognize anything.
After talking to my Toshiba dealer, he told me to turn off the McAfee
Internet Security and try that. He thought that might work. But for me it
did not. I had to reinstall the recover disks to set it back to factory
settings and now everything is working fine in the media area. Not sure that
will help you but thought I would mention it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with this problem! Media Center crashes after
closing, every time I play an MPEG file.
I think it's to do with codecs, what video programs have you got installed?

same problem here, does anyone have a fix yet?
I have installed vista divx codecs and still the same problem
everything works fine in media player! not media center
