When Windows Vista is released it will be the end of Google.com as the
default search engine.

Keith has brought this to us :
When Windows Vista is released it will be the end of Google.com as
the default search engine.

How do you work that one out?

Google has never been the default search engine in Windows.... It's been
MSN as far back as I can remember.

If OEMs have a deal with Google and want to change it they're just as
capable as they were before.

I made Google my default search engine ini IE7 but you can use many many
other providers. Doubt they will changre this option in final release.
Live search is the default but you can change it from a pull down menu at
the right of search icon.

Why? What search engine to use is configurable. Google's got its hands in
a lot of pots.
