HI ,
I just installed Windows vista Home Premium on HP Pavillon m7160.
I have an ADSL Router (cable conenction) and I configured another router
WIFI for 2 PCs.
My mobile PC (XP) is able to conenct correctly to my wireless lan connectng
to Internet too.
I configured the same thing in Vista, filling di protection field generated
by the wifi router. Vista is not able to conenct to wireless lan and netheir
to cable lan.
it seems that there somthing to reset: i tried netsh int IP reset etc etc
but I need grants to do these link of commands (I am administrator user).
I configured the adapter on DHCP (by the wifi Router) adding the default
gateway of the router connected to ADSL. result: the same problem.
Is there a way to configure a mixed lan (cabled network connected to ADSL
and wifi router) and/or to reset the adapter and the sockets in windows vista?
Thank you in advance for your help.

If I correctly understand you have two issues.
To run the netsh commands, open the cmd prompt by right clicking it
and then Run as Administrator.

As for the connectivity, I can't tell if the problem is that you
can't get an IP address or not, but if that is the issue, see
