The first thing you need to know is whether Vista has a problem with the
WinTV PCI card. To check for this information, open Device Manager. In
Device Manager note whether it is displaying some problem with the card, such
as displaying a yellow ! or some other indication, such as showing "Unknown
Device."
Unfold the entry for the card and select Properties. The information
displayed there should indicate that this device is working properly. Any
indication of problems in Device Manager must be resolved to get Vista to
play nice with the card. Follow any advice provided by Device Manager.
If Vista doesn't indicate a problem with the card, then we can assume that
the issue resides somewhere with the WinTV software or settings, etc. When
you consulted with Hauppauge, what did they say? We need to know this. What
did they do to troubleshoot the issue?
If you can't identify the problem any other way, try reviewing the settings
in the WinTV software. Make sure you read, understand, and follow all
