The above message pops up when starting Windows Vista. The blocked programs
are my Anti-Virus Program!
1 How do I get Defender to realise that these progams are allowed. Why
should I have to unblock them each time I start my computer or disable the
services as per the "very helpful" article KB930367?
2 In Defender, under tools there is an Allowed Items list. How do I get
something into this list?
you failed to mention the NAME of the virus program.
have you looked for an updated for vista version.
the best one that has been found to work on vista is AVAST.

Thanks for your replies guys - I think you miss the point - The Anti Virus
program is not the issue, but the fact of how to allow ANY program on start
up that Windows arbitarily decides to block, or to put it into the allowed
list in Defender. BTW for interest sake the program is CA Anti-Virus ver 7.
(I am struggling to get a reply from CA re version 8 & vista).
