For whatever reason, there is only one file in the rar download; a readme
that states something about a udf operating system. I am using Windows 2000
(sp4)
My system specs are as follows:
AMD Athlon 64 2800+
512MB Ram
ATI Radeon 9250SE
Western Digital 80 gb Sata HD

The Rar still shows up as 4.1GB but there is only the 132kb readme. Can
anybody help with this?

Yeah, um.. the problem isnt an ISO, the problem is that there is nothing in
the RAR except for the Readme (note the file type), not even An ISO. I
downloaded it directly from the Microsoft site.

The servers are getting slammed and MS has posted a red-letter notice on
the download page to please order the dvd.

It's not a RAR, it's an ISO. you burn it to DVD, not open it with WinRAR.
WinRAR has the ability to extract files from ISO disk images, and associates
itself with ISO files, so they will appear to be RARs on your system.
(WinRAR can't handle UDF format ISOs, so it shows the text file instead.)
Search these forums for info on how to burn it to DVD.

he already downloaded the file.
