can I merge my windows vista contacts list (name.contact) into outlook 2007?
If so how?
 
Depends on your OS, which you did not mention.
In Vista, you can import them if you want, but you cannot use a common
Contact source. File > Import and Export... > Internet Mail and Addresses >
Windows Mail.
