I want to clean install windows vista from a downloaded upgrade version
because I read that the performance of the computer will improve. How can
this be done?

What is the URL for downloading an upgrade version of Vista?
Is it an ISO file that you burn to CD?
Google for clean upgrade vista; you should find something about doing a
clean install with an upgrade key and maybe other URLs with good info.

If you bought the upgrade online via Windowsmarketplace, then no, it has to
be an inplace upgrade. The 3 files that you download do not give you a
working bootable DVD that would be required for a clean install. I believe
there was an option during purchase to have physical media sent out.

If it's like the anytime upgrade with the digital key it is not an ISO so
you cannot do a clean install.

Jane that's true, it has the same three files.

also the key that is in the digital key file only works with the upgrade
even if you have a vista disk, I tried it already.
