Hello,
For the past couple months, I've had the Backup and Restore Center in
Windows Vista backup the files of my computer once a week. I was surprised to
find that my scheduled backup failed last night with the following error:
[Window Title]
Backup Status and Configuration
[Main Instruction]
The backup did not complete successfully.
[Content]
An error occurred. The following information might help you resolve the error:
If an MM error is returned which is not defined in the standard FsRtl
filter, it is converted to one of the following errors which is guaranteed to
be in the filter. In this case information is lost, however, the filter
correctly handles the exception. (0xC00000EA)
Backup time: 4/23/2007 11:47 PM
Backup location: External (G
[Try again] [Adjust settings] [Close]
Thinking that this "may" be a fluke, I manually tried to run it again,
however I got the same results.
I'm currently have Vista Ultimate and I am backing up to a Maxtor OneTouch
500GB external USB2.0 drive.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Ryan
