The video game industry industry has been driving the hardware industry for
years, and no one blinks an eye. Why is it so different when an OS tries to
push hardware so that it is still viable 3-5 years down the road?
I think most of the points in that article are good things, like trying to
convince the GPU manufacturers to support almost all of the DirectX features,
instead of limited funtionality like we currently have.
Not crazy about hardware DRM though...I sure hope it works better than
software DRM
