I have windows vista premium home edition and am trying to install the update
8.0 for AVG antivirus.......... it is telling me my windows vista operating
system is not fully up to date and tghe KB929547 vista patch is not present.
it says to exit and install the patch first and shows
Windows Vista 32bit
Windows Vista 64 bit

where do I look to see if I would be 32 or 64?? I don't think I have
either, am I right?
thanks

Nope. If you have Vista, you have either the 32 or 64 bit version. At this
time, if you don't know, you almost certainly have the 32 bit version.

Open the System control panel. (The quick way: hold down the Windows key,
and press the Pause key.) In the System group of properties (near the middle
of the window), the last entry tells you whether you are running a 32 or 64
bit operating system. (Mine is 64. I knew that, because I built the machine
and installed the OS.)

Hope this helps.

Return address scrambled. Replace nkbob with bobkn.

You have either 32 bit or 64 bit
I think right clicking My Computer>Properties or using the command line
(start>run or winkey+r) winver will tell you.
If it is 64 bit, it will say so. the standard is 32 bit.
