Hello,

There is a notification message in my Windows - 'Windows - Virtual Memory
Minimum Too Low Your system is low on virtual memory. Windows is increasing
the size of your virtual memory paging file. During this process, memory
requests for some applications may be denied. For more information, see Help.’

It’s running slower than usual.

Is there anything I can do about it?

Thanks,

Tay

You can buy some more RAM to speed up the system because
having a low amount of system RAM makes the computer use
virtual memory by swapping memory on and off the hard drive.
You can also do disk clean up and other computer
maintenance. A slow computer can and often is caused by
spyware/adware, so download programs such as SpyBot S&D
www.safer-networking.org and Ad-Aware SE www.lavasoftusa.com
and scan your computer. Also do a full system scan with
anti-virus that is updated.

To learn more about virtual memory see

See my page www.aumha.org/win5/a/xpvm.htm, and the Problems section.
Depending on when it happens this might well be Intel Application
Accelerator, of one of the side effects of Symantec Live Update
