Windows user account disappearing.

Recently one of the limited user accounts on my computer
has disappeared from the windows welcome screen. I am
running Windows XP Home Edition. If I change the way I
login to the way where you have to type both name and
password I can access this account but I'm not happy with
doing that, I would prefer it on the welcome screen. When
It first dissappeared I thought it had been deleted so I
tried to make a new one with the same name but it said
that the user you are trying to create allready exists.
Is there anything I can do to make this account come back
on the welcome screen again?

It sounds like this may be the default Administrator account which normally
disappears/hides when another account is created. Especially since the
account is still accessible for logging on to. This behavior is normal as
this account is actually intended for troubleshooting purposes.

If you really want this account displayed on the welcome screen, you can
use TweakUI for XP to do so. TweakUI is one of the Power toys for XP. This
URL links to the version that is *only* for XP with SP1:
