Windows Updates

Hi,

My girlfriend has a laptop that she has allowed to get
well behind on critical updates and service packs, etc. I
don't think she's applied any!

We only have dial-up access so it takes ages to download
them all, and her ISP cuts off after an hour in any case
(it's a dial-in to university).

Is there any way of getting hold of a CD that can do the
updates and service packs?

(and SP4 for Windows 2000 / SP1 for Windows XP) as well as information
to help you protect your PC.
Supports Windows XP, Windows Me, Windows 2000, Windows 98, and
Windows 98 Second Edition (SE).

You can download the rest of them from the Catalog and save to be installed
later.

At the moment you can only get SP1 on CD - this was included in mor
recent versions of XP anyway. SP2 is due out in the next month or so
it's beta testing at the moment. Alternatively, make friends wit
someone with broadband and they can download the updates from Window
Catalogue & burn them to CD for you
