Windows updates

New to this game & was wondering if you want/need all
updates as follows
CRITICAL UPDATES - my PC wont install one though listed
for me but when thought to look at read more said not
available for 64 bit versions so suupose thats the reason
WINDOWS XP - Some say for XP & some for XPhome, I take
this to mean home users download all & pro ignore home
ones? Also some listed as updates for say Jet Service
Pack, I am assuming I don't need this.
Any light you can shed on this greatly appreciated J
 
If you run updates from Help and Support on your computer, the only updates
that should be shown are those that are for your edition of XP. I have no
idea where you are finding anything that would include updates for the 64
bit edition. Run the H&S updates and take all critical updates. Take the
ones that apply to your needs from those that are "recommended". Do not take
any driver updates, go to the Mfr's web-site of your hardware and update
drivers from them.

So you apparently have XP 64 bit but need help on this. There is no justice!
