I am wanting to know if there is a list of Windows updates avalible. I know
that the Windows Update is the best way to install updates and all that,
however I am trying to compile a DVD of updates to install them offlline.

There are over 3000 updates available for Vista. One way the get the numbers
you need is to open a command prompt, and run the command 'systeminfo' (or
'systeminfo > c:\updatelist.txt' ) without the quote marks.

After SP1 would be fine, intent to install SP1 and then the updates

Install SP1 and then go to WU and get all the KB numbers of all updates offered and download them manually from the appropriate MS download site. Then put them on a CD
