I have a problem in that I need to run Windows Update on
about 100 users but I do not want to run the update for
IE6. We have an application that has had issues with IE6
so we run IE5 and above as long as it's not IE6. Is there
a way to run Windows Update remotely or set each pc to
update everything automatically EXCEPT for IE6? Please,
any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

If you have 100 users and you're doing things manually, I feel for you.

Either set up a SUS server, or push the updates via a script. Either way
will let you choose which updates get applied and which do not.

You can disable the windows update localy and i think you
could make the update using a script or the AD.

Thanks for the advice. I was thinking about implementing
and SUS. What kind of script would I have to write
though? Sorry I've never done that. And by "AD" what did
you mean?

Sorry, I've never written a script before. What kind of
script and how would I go about doing that? As far as
setting up an SUS I will look into that. Thanks for the
help.
