I just spent the last few months compiling pictures from the past year to
make a slide show for christmas. I recently downloaded the new windows
updates and all of a sudden Windows Movie Maker has stopped working. I can
open it for about 30 sec before it says error occured and send this
infomation to Microsoft?

WHat should I do, how do I get to my work now? how can i use the program
again.. HELP HELP!! this was my christmas present to everyone!!

Some users have reported IE7 caused
problems....maybe it would be worth a
try to uninstall it.

I've seen some reports about IE7...
if you installed IE7...try uninstalling it.

No guarantees that removing IE7 is your fix
but if the issue with Movie Maker coincides
with the recent updates...it is a possibility.

You should find IE7 in Add-Remove Programs.
It's listed as: "Windows Internet Explorer 7"

Well...hopefully it will revert to IE6 and
you will be good to go. There's always the
possibilty of problems when installing
or uninstalling software.

And, as I previously stated...there's no
guarantee that uninstalling IE7 will solve
the problem.

Might be a good idea to do a system
restore to a time before you installed IE7.

FWIW...it's always a good idea to create
a System Restore point before installing
any software or updates.
