Windows Updates Doesn't Work

The WIN Updates Shield remains on my taskbar showing "downloading 9%" but
never finishes. It is just there everyday.
 
Thanks or your prompt response; however, the MS Free Spt pages shows:
"All prices listed on this page are in U.S. dollars, and paid support is
billable to Visa, MasterCard, and American Express." I am not in a position
of creating charges.

Ah, good thing then, that you were also given a link to a newsgroup
that's knowledgeable on the subject.
 
It says:

As long as you do not bring up any other problem, there is no charge.

IC now, thank you. But I guess that it is limited to only Win Updates
then--no bootup, disc, Picture It! problems?
