Windows Updater

Hello

I have a problem that I haven't seen mentionned yet. So here goes: The Windows Updater (wupdater.exe) crashes each time I start Internet Explorer or Microsoft Outlook. I am not sure if this may affect other applications. What is this application for by the way ? I couldn't find any information on this updater anywhere

Thanks a lot for the reply. I indeed found the "MySearch bar" spyware and about 300 parasites on my computer. So now my comp is all nice and clean. But this Windows Updater application still doesn't work and crashes each time I open Microsoft Outlook

Any other ideas

It is part of spyware.
Which did you run Ad-Aware or SpyBot?
Make sure that you have the latest updates, Ad-Aware updates about
once a week and the latest data is 2 March 2004.
Make sure they are both current and then run both of them.
Sometimes one gets what the other misses.
