When I schedule windows update to run , a new windows in I.E. opens and I
have to reply to a message "Scan for Updates"
When I ran the same Windows Update in 98 it ran behind the scenes with no
message to
reply to or a window opening in I.E.
Can the same be done in XP ?
I just want to run the task with no manual intervention

Thanks
Bob

If you just want to run the task with no manual intervention, may I
recommend Start > Rt. click My Computer > Properties > Automatic Updates
(tab) > Select Keep my computer up to date and select the last option below,
set the time and OK out.

Bee , Thanks for your help
