I am having trouble doing windows updates,my security
settings prohibts running activeX controls, also having
trouble getting into any web site to order online

If you run an internet security program, like Norton.
Disable it and try again.

If you are not, go into control panel, and click on
internet options, and check your settings.
You can go advanced, and allow active x controls within
that menu.
