Does anyone know how to get the shortcut from the microsoft update website
that is installed when you click on the start here icon, when you first
update a new os?
I tried to creat an shortcut, and found the right icon, but it never worked.
I tried to use the xp method for this but I guess is different with 200 pro.

Are you saying the winupdate shortcut doesnt exist in your start menu?
Also does it not exist in IE, Tools menu?

A shortcut to this should already be installed automatically on the
Start menu. If it's there but doesn't work, right click it, and check
the target folder is Wupdmgr.exe, and that its path is correct. If not,
make a shortcut (not a copy) of Wupdmgr.exe in the System32 folder, and
transfer it to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu.

The shortcut is gone from the start menu, the one that is installed whith
windows is in the start menu, and in the tools menu but not the one that is
installed from the updated web site, anyway what is the differance between
the two shortcuts, windows update, and microsoft update?

You'll find they both open the same update page, I believe Win Update is the
origonal, and MS Update is the latest
WinUpdate used to be windows only, MSUpdate checks win & MS Office and other
updates specific to your sys
PS Do NOT use update for device drivers, use manu updates only
